Brittney Danielle Robinson was born on September 3rd, 2009 at 8:28 pm. She weighed 5lbs 7.72oz and was 17.75 inches long. Immediately after Brittney was born, Shannon's blood pressure concerns were history. Brittney was sent directly to the NICU after delivery for breathing complications due to fluid in her lungs. This was explained to Shannon and I as "normal". While Brittney was in the NICU the entire family was able to visit her with the exception of Courtney. She was so upset that she could not hold or feed Brittney. Monday, September 7th (Labor Day) Courtney woke up with 102 fever. This is the same day Brittney was being released. Courtney went to the doctor with her grand parents and I went to pick up Shannon and Brittney. Courtney was diagnosed with Strep and was unable to come home for 24 hours. Again, Courtney was not going to be able to bond with her sister. On Tuesday, September 8th, Papaw brought her home around noon. She was so excited. Everyone is doing well. Shannon and I are running on minimal sleep, but very proud to have our new addition.
